It is the owners responsibility to make sure your dog is up to date by a licensed veterinarian and that we have their current shot record. The best way to do that is by uploading on your account or emailing us a copy of their shot records BEFORE they board with us to woodlawnpet@gmail.com. We also require your dog to have both heartworm protection and be on a flea and tick preventative.

Each dog is fed his or her own diet if provided or is fed one of the quality kennel foods. If you chose to bring your own food please package it per meal for stays less than 2 weeks.

Yes. Medication is extremely important and requires proper handling. Be sure to bring any special medicines your pet is currently taking along with dosing instructions provided by your vet. All medication must be dispensed out in a daily/weekly AM/PM pill box container. Please also list  name of medication(s), dosage, and reason for medication.

Make sure anything that you leave is labeled with your last name and that they are washable!

Beds – Washable and portable, please. We move and wash bedding when we clean, so if it’s too big, we won’t take it. (We’ll give your dog one of our beds).
Up to 3 Toys per kennel accepted and recommended- Bones should be smoked, nyla (type) or raw marrow – we do not accept rawhide, pigs ears or hooves. We have many great options available in our lobby for purchase.

Remember, dogs chew. Even dogs that don’t chew at home, may chew when they’re away from home. We do our best but cannot guarantee you’ll get things back in the same condition as they came in.

If you want to add extra services or get your pet groomed/bathed, you are welcome to do that at any time.

We want your dog to be appropriately tired. Not exhausted. Exhausted dogs are more likely to make poor choices. Dogs typically sleep and rest at least 12 hours a day. It simply isn’t normal for a dog to play nonstop. Excessive activity may keep the dog in a state of chronic arousal which in turn triggers stress related hormones. Overexposure to these hormones can make dogs prone to illness in the same way they can in humans.

We want each and every dog to have a fun and interesting day. Our goal is to send home a dog who is better for having spent the day with us. We really love all the dogs who come to Woodlawn and want both him and you to benefit from daycare.
